Getting started

From first sign-in to seeing your first patient: the setup path for a new hospital.

This guide takes a brand-new hospital from an empty console to a live front desk. Most facilities are operational within a single working day.

Signing in

Staff sign in with their email or mobile number and a password, followed by a one-time code (MFA) on every sign-in. Patients sign in to the portal with their phone number and an OTP. Your hospital lives on its own address, for example yourhospital.doctsoft.com.

Every staff sign-in is protected by multi-factor authentication and recorded in the audit log. Sessions last 12 hours.

First-run checklist

1

Add your departments and doctors

Create the departments you run and add each doctor with their consultation fee and weekly schedule. Availability drives the online booking calendar.

2

Invite your team

Add front-desk, nursing, pharmacy and admin staff, each with the right role. Roles decide exactly what each person can see and do.

3

Set up services and rate card

Define the procedures, tests and services you bill for, and their prices, so counter billing is one click.

4

Configure the pharmacy

Add suppliers and stock, or import them, so the dispensing queue can draw down against real batches.

5

Turn on your patient portal

Publish your doctors and slots so patients can book online, pay and receive a digital token.

Roles at a glance

RoleWhat they do
AdminFull hospital setup, staff, billing, reports and settings.
ReceptionRegistration, appointments, check-in and counter payments.
DoctorConsults, prescriptions, orders and their own schedule.
PharmacistThe dispensing queue and pharmacy inventory.
PatientThe self-service portal: booking, records and video consults.

Not sure who can do what? Every staff member can open My Access from their profile menu to see exactly which actions they hold, and who to ask if they need something they can't do.

Once departments, doctors and the pharmacy are in place, your front desk can register a patient, add them to the queue, and the whole record flows from there. Continue with the Front office guides next.
